Alea
Alea grew up in the B.C. Lower Mainland and moved to Penticton in 1992 to raise her daughter in the beautiful Okanagan. Always active since a very young age, she was a highland dancer for many years growing up and choreographed some of her own dances for competition. Alea is a lover of everything outdoors! Running, hiking, skiing, camping … anything that gets her out to soak up Mother Nature’s bounty. An active person, always up for a new adventure and keen on continuous learning, Alea decided to try out a yoga class. It was love at first practice! In addition to the benefits of the physical practice, Alea was pleasantly surprised by the improved emotional well-being and mindfulness that comes along with the practice. Alea had long considered taking the 200hr yoga teacher training and after 10 years working on her personal practice finally worked up the courage to just do it and signed up for the Reflexions Studio teacher training program for the 2019/2020 year. Not knowing exactly where this would take her, having graduated, she has now found her yogi tribe at Reflexions Studio and is enjoying every minute of getting to know the Reflexions yoga community.
